以弗所書二章8-10節

神的小僕人

經文：

8 你們得救是本乎恩，也因著信；這並不是出於自己，乃是神所賜的；

9 也不是出於行為，免得有人自誇。

10 我們原是他的工作，在基督耶穌裡造成的，為要叫我們行善，就是神所預備叫我們行的。

得救全是恩典，不是靠我們自己，也不是因著我們的好行為。這恩典是因為我們相信耶穌基督的拯救，我們必須謙卑，承認自己是罪人，才能得著。故此沒有人在恩典之下可以誇口自己，因爲救恩的工作不是靠我們自己。

那麼信徒要有好行為嗎？當然！我們要有好行為，是因為我們是白白得着恩典，因感恩而活出好行為的生命，但這卻並非得救的方法。換言之，先因信稱義得着拯救，然後才靠主活出好行為，這才是十字架的救贖真諦。

禱告：

主耶穌，今天我們若仍以為自己可以靠好行為得著拯救，那就是還不真正認識福音，該再次反思十字架的真正意義了。主耶穌，求主幫助我們真正認識福音，祢是上帝的獨生愛子，為了愛而道成肉身，成為人的樣式，並為全人類的罪死在十字架上，第三天從死裡復活後升天，勝過了罪與死亡，帶來了真正的救贖。感謝耶穌，我們原是神的工作，在基督耶穌裡造成的，為要叫我們行善，就是神所預備叫我們行的。奉耶穌基督的名禱告，阿們。

Ephesians 2：8-10

We are redeemed through the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord, not because of our own good deeds. No one can boast over our good behavior for we are not saved by them. We can only humbly confess our sins, and through faith on the redemption of the cross, we are saved.

Then why should Christians need to live a good life? It is because we are grateful for the salvation we receive freely and we willingly follow the Lord in the ways we live. We do not earn our salvation but we live according to the Lord who paid the cost of sins. In other words, christians first receive salvation and then live a good life.

If we still believe we are saved by our good deeds, we need to think carefully again about the meaning of the Cross.
