馬太福音五章13-16節 

神的小僕人
 
經文：
13 你們是世上的鹽，鹽若失了味，怎能叫他再鹹呢？以後無用，不過丟在外面，被人踐踏了。
14 你們是世上的光。城造在山上是不能隱藏的。
15 人點燈，不放在斗底下，是放在燈臺上，就照亮一家的人。
16 你們的光也當這樣照在人前，叫他們看見你們的好行為，便將榮耀歸給你們在天上的父。
 
主耶穌說我們是世上的光、世上的鹽，光是照在黑暗裏的，鹽是可以防腐，更可以把食物添上味道，這些都是我們生活上必要的東西，而且可以叫生命更加豐富。耶穌把我們比喻光和鹽，是叫我們作美好的見證，使自己和別人的生活倍添味道。 
 
信徒今天生活在道德敗壞、關係疏離、遠離真理的文化之中，如何見證上帝呢？信徒持守真理就是美好的見證，遠離罪惡、不與惡妥協，也是必須努力的，只是靠我們自己不能，必須倚靠聖靈的幫助。 
 
禱告:
主耶穌，祢說我們是世上的鹽和光，讓我們今天反思一下，我們的生活是怎樣的呢？願我們能發揮鹽防腐增味的功能，不會成為失了味的鹽；且作世上的光，即使是微光，照進黑暗的角落，榮神益人。奉耶穌的名禱告，阿們。
 
Matthew 5:13-16 
 
Jesus says, we are light and the salt of the world. Light is to shine in darkness and salt is to preserve and to add favour to food. In other words, we can add favour to the world through Christlike living and be witnesses of our Lord.  
 
We are living in a corrupt, selfish culture when people are distant and indifferent. The only way to witness God is to do what He desires, resisting evil and living in the Truth. We cannot do it ourselves but only through the help of the spirit of God, we can. 
 
We are the light and salt of the world, how do we live today?
