馬太福音五章14-16節
神的小僕人
經文:
14 你們是世上的光。城造在山上是不能隱藏的。
15 人點燈，不放在斗底下，是放在燈臺上，就照亮一家的人。
16 你們的光也當這樣照在人前，叫他們看見你們的好行為，便將榮耀歸給你們在天上的父。
作為信徒，我們作上帝要我們作的事不是為了炫耀自己。但這段經文是否是說這些合神心意的事可以顯露在人前，作為美好的見證？就像燈放在枱上，城建在山上，都是自然發生的事。只要我們的出發點不是為了炫耀自己，適當地讓人知道是將榮耀歸給神。
作為信徒，我們作好事不告訴人，因為不想炫耀自己，這是對的；但另一方面，也不要忘記這是美好的見證，同樣可以榮神益人。
Matthew 5:14-16
Christians believed all the good things we’ve done should not be disclosed. Telling people our good deeds are boasting, however there are times that they are testimony of the work of God and our obedience. Just like what Jesus says, light is put on top of the table, and cities are built on the hill slopes to be seen. If our intention is not self glorification, good deeds can be testimony to encourage others.
As believers we don’t need to go to extremes. As long as we do not boast or glorify ourselves, the good works can be testimony of the great work of our God.
