出埃及記二十三章1-9節 神的小僕人
經文:
1 不可隨夥佈散謠言，不可與惡人連手妄作見證。
2 不可隨眾行惡，不可在爭訟的事上，隨眾偏行，作見證屈枉正直。
3 也不可在爭訟的事上，偏護窮人。
4 若遇見你仇敵的牛，或驢，失迷了路，總要牽回來交給他。
5 若看見恨你人的驢壓臥在重馱之下，不可走開，務要和驢主一同抬開重馱。
6 不可在窮人爭訟的事上屈枉正直。
7 當遠離虛假的事，不可殺無辜和有義的人，因我必不以惡人為義。
8 不可受賄賂，因為賄賂能叫明眼人變瞎了，又能顛倒義人的話。
9 不可欺壓寄居的，因為你們在埃及地作過寄居的，知道寄居的心。
神在以色列人離開埃及之後，不單為他們定下十誡，還定下很多生活上、宗教上的條例。今天的經文提到怎樣以公平及恩典來對待不同的人，特別是從遠方來的客旅。我們不可偏待人，不要作惡，更不要跟從群眾行不合理的事。神一早就知道我們的軟弱，故定立此條例，為的是提醒我們，建立一個合神心意的社群。
今天我們若離開了神的真理，便陷入罪中，在罪中不但我們受苦，別人也受苦。活出神的心意是我們惟一的出路。
Exodus 23:1-9
When God took the Israelites out of Egypt, He started to instruct them on their lives and community living. God didn’t only give them Ten Commandments but also rules of living and worship. He instructed us to be gracious especially to foreigners, not to show favouritism, be fair and righteous and not to follow the crowds in doing wrong. God knows us well and He set up rules to remind us of our weaknesses.
Today we are distancing from the rules of God. We are therefore causing pain to others and ourselves. Living under the law of God is the only way out. Let’s repent before God and turn back to His will today.
