出埃及記14章21-23；26-31節

神的小僕人
 
經文：
21 摩西向海伸杖，耶和華便用大東風，使海水一夜退去，水便分開，海就成了乾地。 
22 以色列人下海中走乾地，水在他們的左右作了牆垣。 
23 埃及人追趕他們，法老一切的馬匹、車輛，和馬兵都跟着下到海中。
26 耶和華對摩西說：「你向海伸杖，叫水仍合在埃及人並他們的車輛、馬兵身上。」 
27 摩西就向海伸杖，到了天一亮，海水仍舊復原。埃及人避水逃跑的時候，耶和華把他們推翻在海中， 
28 水就回流，淹沒了車輛和馬兵。那些跟着以色列人下海法老的全軍，連一個也沒有剩下。
29 以色列人卻在海中走乾地；水在他們的左右作了牆垣。 
30 當日，耶和華這樣拯救以色列人脫離埃及人的手，以色列人看見埃及人的死屍都在海邊了。 
31 以色列人看見耶和華向埃及人所行的大事，就敬畏耶和華，又信服他和他的僕人摩西。

過紅海的故事，大家都很熟悉，今天的經文再次提醒我們，我們的神是大能的神，祂能夠把紅海分開，讓以色列人行在乾地之上，大水變成牆壁，在他們的左右，保護他們經過。
 
今天的經文還有一點值得我們注意，就是在神施行大能的時候，祂兩次吩咐摩西伸出他手中的杖，為何需要如此呢？神的大能需要人信心的配合，摩西作為以色列人的領袖，就代表着眾人對神信心的回應。
 
禱告：
天父上帝，祢是大有能力的，我們願意相信祢並以信心的行動回應祢。求祢在我們的生命中行大事，榮耀歸給主。奉耶穌的名禱告，阿們。
 
Exodus 14:21-23, 26-31
 
The story of the exodus and the dividing of the Red Sea was a familiar story.  The passage today teaches us the mighty power of God.  He can divide the sea and make pillars of water to protect the Israelites so that they can cross the river and walk on dry land. 
 
Yet while reading through the passage, I notice a very important point that I used to overlook.  Twice God asked Moses to stretch his hands.  Why so?  To respond with faith, we need to act.  Moses represented the people to respond in faith with action and in the end they were safely rescued, while the army of pharaoh was buried in the sea.
 
God is Almighty, do we believe in Him and act in faith?
