路加福音三章1-6節
神的小僕人
經文:
1 該撒提庇留在位第十五年，本丟彼拉多作猶太巡撫，希律作加利利分封的王，他兄弟腓力作以土利亞和特拉可尼地方分封的王，呂撒聶作亞比利尼分封的王，
2 亞那和該亞法作大祭司，那時，撒迦利亞的兒子約翰在曠野裡，神的話臨到他。
3 他就來到約但河一帶地方，宣講悔改的洗禮，使罪得赦。
4 正如先知以賽亞書上所記的話，說：『在曠野有人聲喊著說：預備主的道，修直他的路。
5 一切山漥都要填滿，大小山岡都要削平，彎彎曲曲的地方要改為正直，高高低低的道路要改為平坦。
6 凡有血氣的，都要見神的救恩。』
施洗約翰出來傳道，是預備人的心，知道自己的罪惡，願意悔改。今天人最難面對的就是自己的黑暗和錯誤，要悔改必須懂得悔，然後才能改。
悔罪是接受救恩的第一步，當我們知道自己的不是、不配、和錯誤，我們才能知道主耶穌救恩的偉大。施洗約翰走遍全地，為的就是預備主耶穌的救恩。今天願我們的心預備地方給我們的主，我們也傳講神的道，預備別人去接受救恩。
禱告:
神啊！明天就是聖誕節(降生節)了，其最大的禮物就是耶穌基督，祂帶給世人最大的禮物就是赦罪之恩。我們為施洗約翰所做的及耶穌基督的降生感謝神，願榮耀歸給神，願平安歸給祂所喜悅的人。奉耶穌的名禱告，阿們。
Luke 3:1-6
John the Baptist preached the message of repentance. He was preparing the people to receive the salvation of Christ by first acknowledging our sins. Repentance is about recognising our shortfall and returning from the wrong way. It is the first step to salvation.
John the Baptist walked through the Jordan to prepare the heart of people. We need to acknowledge we are far from the target and standard given by God, and falling short, we need to turn back and receive the redemption through the blood of Jesus. Are we receiving for the Truth and do we prepare others for it too?
Jesus is the greatest present of Christmas, and He gives us all forgiveness of sins.
