提摩太前書四章12-16節
神的小僕人
經文:
12 不可叫人小看你年輕，總要在言語，行為，愛心，信心，清潔上，都作信徒的榜樣。
13 你要以宣讀，勸勉，教導為念，直等到我來。
14 你不要輕忽所得的恩賜，就是從前藉著預言，在眾長老按手的時候，賜給你的。
15 這些事你要殷勤去作，並要在此專心，使眾人看出你的長進來。
16 你要謹慎自己和自己的教訓，要在這些事上恆心，因為這樣行，又能救自己，又能救聽你的人。
保羅勸勉年輕的提摩太作信徒的榜樣、謹慎自守、殷勤服事。這三點可說是每一個信徒都要學習的。當時的提摩太因為年輕，教會的人都小看他，故此保羅特別鼓勵提摩太。
今天我們被人小看可能是因為我們的年紀大，我們的性別，又或者是我們的能力有限、學歷不高，無論如何，我們看重的是怎樣作個真真實實的信徒，怎樣作榜樣，忠心服事、真心愛人、謹守本分，這些都是神所喜悅的。
作個忠心和良善的僕人，這就是榜樣。
1 Timothy 4:12-16
Paul encouraged Timothy to serve with a faithful heart. He gave him three clues, to be a good example, to serve faithfully and to be watchful over his own life and behavior.
At that time people looked down on Timothy because he was young. Today we may be looked down upon because of old age, gender, ability and background. Yet God calls us to be faithful in the Truth, pronouncing sound doctrine and teaching, loving others with sincerity and disciplining ourselves to be good example to others.
To be good and faithful is a good example as Christian.
