傳道書四章8-12節
神的小僕人
經文:
8 有人孤單無二，無子無兄，竟勞碌不息，眼目也不以錢財為足，他說我勞勞碌碌，刻苦自己，不享福樂，到底是為誰呢？這也是虛空，是極重的勞苦。
9 兩個人總比一個人好，因為二人勞碌同得美好的果效。
10 若是跌倒，這人可以扶起他的同伴，若是孤身跌倒，沒有別人扶起他來，這人就有禍了。
11 再者，二人同睡就都暖和，一人獨睡怎能暖和呢？
12 有人攻勝孤身一人，若有二人便能敵擋他，三股合成的繩子，不容易折斷。
傳道書的作者對生命有許多的慨嘆，但這段經文卻提醒我們，在生命不同的階段裏，無論是順境或是逆境，有伴同行是好的。有同行者我們可以分享我們的喜樂，在困難挫折中也有人扶持安慰，故此他說兩個人總比一個人好，三股合成的繩子不易折斷。
人生路上能被愛和被祝福是福氣，可以愛人、祝福人、陪伴人也是福氣，這是基督徒群體的目標。我們要彼此相愛，互相關顧，是愛的見證和學習。
Ecclesiastes 4:8-12
The writer of the book of Ecclesiastes always feels helpless about life. Yet in this passage he reminds us about the beauty of relationship in Christ. When life is smooth we can share what we have. When life is rough we can be support for each other. This is the beauty of companionship.
It is a blessing if we are loved and blessed in our journey. It is also a blessing if we can love and bless others. This is the good purpose of God in creating Christian community. We learn to love and care for one another. A cord of three strands is not easily broken.
