喜樂之地

馬太福音十二章9-21節

神的小僕人

經文:

9 耶穌離開那地方，進了一個會堂。

10 那裡有一個人枯乾了一隻手。有人問耶穌說：安息日治病，可以不可以，意思是要控告他。

11 耶穌說：你們中間誰有一隻羊，安息日掉在坑裡，不把他抓住拉上來呢？

12 人比羊何等貴重呢？所以在安息日作善事是可以的。

13 於是對那人說：伸出手來，他把手一伸，手就復了原，和那隻手一樣。

14 法利賽人出去，商議怎樣可以除滅耶穌。

15 耶穌知道了，就離開那裡，有許多人跟著他，他把其中有病的人都治好了。

16 又囑咐他們，不要給他傳名。

17 這是要應驗先知以賽亞的話，說：

18 『看哪，我的僕人，我所揀選，所親愛，心裡所喜悅的，我要將我的靈賜給他，他必將公理傳給外邦。

19 他不爭競，不喧嚷，街上也沒有人聽見他的聲音。

20 壓傷的蘆葦，他不折斷；將殘的燈火，他不吹滅；等他施行公理，叫公理得勝。

21 外邦人都要仰望他的名。』

主耶穌在世醫治了許多的人，但在馬太福音卻特別提及祂低調的服侍態度；就是祂醫治了許多的人，但卻不喧嚷、不爭吵，不高調自誇，不宣揚。而壓傷的蘆葦祂不折斷，將殘的燈火，祂不吹滅。我們的主是滿有慈愛的。

而我們常做了一點點的小事，便想讓人知道!

求主賜給我們像主那種憐憫的心，服侍有需要的人。

Matthew 12:9-21

Jesus healed a lot of people, and Matthew narrated His attitude of servanthood. Our Lord served without boasting, without high profile, without propaganda. A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. That is the mercy of our Lord.

How do we serve today？Do we grumble when people do not appreciate or we are not recognised ? Servanthood is about serving the needy and not ourselves. Learning to serve without being recognised is the example of our Lord Jesus.

May we cultivate the heart of mercy, “not breaking, not snuffing out”, just serving the needy.
