馬太福音十四章25-33節
神的小僕人
經文:
25 夜裡四更天，耶穌在海面上走，往門徒那裡去。
26 門徒看見他在海面上走，就驚慌了，說：是個鬼怪，便害怕，喊叫起來。
27 耶穌連忙對他們說：你們放心，是我，不要怕。
28 彼得說：主，如果是你，請叫我從水面上走到你那裡去。
29 耶穌說：你來吧。彼得就從船上下去，在水面上走，要到耶穌那裡去。
30 只因見風甚大，就害怕，將要沉下去，便喊著說：主阿，救我。
31 耶穌趕緊伸手拉住他，說：你這小信的人哪，為甚麼疑惑呢？
32 他們上了船，風就住了。
33 在船上的人都拜他說：你真是神的兒子了。
彼得為了要確認在海面上行走的是耶穌，故從船上下進水裡，要到耶穌那裡去，但因為風高浪急，彼得就害怕了，快要沉下去的時候，他呼喊主耶穌來拯救他。
這段經文很有意思，一開始是門徒對在海面上行走的耶穌的懷疑，主耶穌安慰他們說：放心，是我，不要怕。這個安慰可以說是對我們每一個人說的，世途險惡，但有主同在我們不用害怕。接著彼得快要沉下去的時候，我們看見彼得對耶穌的相信和呼喊。我們會害怕、我們會信不足，但主必聽我們對祂的呼喊與祈禱，主必幫助。
Matthew 14:25-33
Peter responded through his faith to walk on the water to the place where Jesus was. Yet the sea was rough and he was afraid. When he was falling he called upon the Lord to rescue him and he was saved.
This message is full of meaning. First of all Jesus comforted His disciples. He says, “Don’t be discouraged. This is I. Don’t be afraid.” What a comfort and what an assurance for us all. Peter is threatened by the rough sea and he knew whom to call upon. “Lord, save me”. This is a call of faith and trust. Yes we believe, but Lord help us overcome our disbelief. Thank You Jesus.
