路加福音十五章28-32節
神的小僕人
經文:
28 大兒子卻生氣，不肯進去，他父親就出來勸他。
29 他對父親說：我服事你這多年，從來沒有違背過你的命，你並沒有給我一隻山羊羔，叫我和朋友，一同快樂。
30 但你這個兒子，和娼妓吞盡了你的產業，他一來了，你倒為他宰了肥牛犢。
31 父親對他說：兒阿，你常和我同在，我一切所有的，都是你的。
32 只是你這個兄弟，是死而復活，失而又得的，所以我們理當歡喜快樂。
浪子的故事我們都十分熟悉，但或許我們沒有留意故事的最後提及有關大兒子對弟弟回來的反應，他未對弟弟的悔改感到高興，反而感到爸爸對自己不公平，結果就落在苦惱和嫉妒中。
不公平的對待對我們是傷害，只是我們感到不公平的時候，或許可以想想我們已有的東西。大兒子忽略了他爸爸所有的一切他都可享用，只看見了爸爸對小兒子的顧惜，心中便不悅了。生命中有許多得和失，在乎我們怎樣演繹、怎樣理解、怎樣感恩。不要單看自己所沒有的，而要多看上帝給我們的，我們便懂得感恩。
Luke 15:28-32
The parable of the lost son is a familiar story. Yet we may overlook how the older son responded to the return of his brother. He was upset and troubled because of the celebration and felt that his father had been unfair. Jealousy made him fall into bitterness and discontent.
Being treated unfair can hurt us. However we sometimes need to focus on what we have instead of what we don’t have. The older son is enjoying the father and all his possessions, and yet he only focused on how his father celebrated the return of his younger son.
It matters how we interpret life. He gives us what we need and we can be satisfied and delight in His giving. This is real contentment.
