以斯拉記一章1-4節
神的小僕人
經文:
1 波斯王古列元年，耶和華為要應驗藉耶利米口所說的話，就激動波斯王古列的心，使他下詔通告全國說：
2 波斯王古列如此說：耶和華天上的神，已將天下萬國賜給我，又囑咐我在猶大的耶路撒冷，為他建造殿宇。
3 在你們中間凡作他子民的，可以上猶大的耶路撒冷，在耶路撒冷重建耶和華以色列神的殿，（只有他是神）願神與這人同在。
4 凡剩下的人，無論寄居何處，那地的人要用金銀財物牲畜幫助他，另外也要為耶路撒冷神的殿，甘心獻上禮物。
二千多年前，當猶太人已經亡國數十年，在波斯國的統治之下，神大顯能力，祂感動波斯王，容許猶太人返回自己巴勒斯坦的領土，去建造神的殿。這可說是一個極大的神蹟。
神掌管歷史、掌管生命，不管我們是否察覺，神仍掌權，昔日如此，今日也是如此。神是天上地下的神，一切都在祂的計劃之中，我們儘管相信和依靠。
Ezra 1:1-4
More than two thousand years ago, when the Jews were taken captives for decades, God made a miracle. He moved the heart of the king of Persia to allow the Jews to return to the Palestine to build the temple of the Lord. It is almost an impossible move for any political leaders.
Our God is sovereign and He is forever. History and lives of every human are under His hand, whether we are aware of it or not. We think we are very advanced in terms of science and technology in the 21st century but we don’t know that we actually are very ignorant of God’s sovereignty and His master plan. Our God is almighty and He is always in control. Let’s trust and obey.
