提摩太後書四章1-5節
神的小僕人
經文:
1 我在神面前，並在將來審判活人死人的基督耶穌面前，憑著他的顯現和他的國度囑咐你。
2 務要傳道，無論得時不得時，總要專心，並用百般的忍耐，各樣的教訓，責備人，警戒人，勸勉人。
3 因為時候要到，人必厭煩純正的道理，耳朵發癢，就隨從自己的情慾，增添好些師傅。
4 並且掩耳不聽真道，偏向荒渺的言語。
5 你卻要凡事謹慎，忍受苦難，作傳道的工夫，盡你的職份。
這段經文是保羅對提摩太作最後的提醒，他指出在末後的日子，人的心不再追求真理，只喜歡聽自己想聽的道理，故此他鼓勵提摩太，要堅守主道，以真理教導、督責、勸勉人。
真理常是叫我們扎心的。信徒不應只追求悅耳和精彩的言論，而應追求純正、從神而來的真理。我們要預備好自己，傳揚真正的福音，不是為討人歡喜。我們不要只求隨心所欲，不要掩耳不聽真理，而要追求完整全備的教導。
禱告: 主耶穌，祢就是道路、真理、生命，我們還追求及跟從什麼呢？求主保守我們的心，開通我們的耳，使我們聽真道，傳真道。奉耶穌的名禱告，阿們。
2 Timothy 4:1-5
Paul told us that in the end time people will turn away from the truth and seek teachings that suit their heart and their desire. He therefore instructed Timothy to be faithfully depicting, admonishing and correcting in the true teaching of the Word.
The truth cuts our hearts and divides our soul. Yet people want outstanding speech and delightful teaching. As God’s people we should prepare ourselves to preach the Truth to please God but not men. As believers we should not turn away from the Word and seek only sound doctrine. As preachers and believers, we should stay in the words of God rather than doctrines that suit our own desires.
