撒母耳記上三章1-10節
神的小僕人
經文:
1 童子撒母耳在以利面前事奉耶和華。當那些日子，耶和華的言語稀少，不常有默示。
2 一日以利睡臥在自己的地方，他眼目昏花，看不分明。
3 神的燈在神耶和華殿內約櫃那裡，還沒有熄滅，撒母耳已經睡了。
4 耶和華呼喚撒母耳，撒母耳說：我在這裡。
5 就跑到以利那裡說：你呼喚我，我在這裡，以利回答說：我沒有呼喚你，你去睡吧，他就去睡了。
6 耶和華又呼喚撒母耳，撒母耳起來，到以利那裡說：你呼喚我，我在這裡，以利回答說：我的兒，我沒有呼喚你，你去睡吧。
7 那時撒母耳還未認識耶和華，也未得耶和華的默示。
8 耶和華第三次呼喚撒母耳，撒母耳起來，到以利那裡說：你又呼喚我，我在這裡，以利纔明白是耶和華呼喚童子。
9 因此，以利對撒母耳說：你仍去睡吧，若再呼喚你，你就說：耶和華阿，請說：僕人敬聽，撒母耳就去仍睡在原處。
10 耶和華又來站著，像前三次呼喚說：撒母耳阿，撒母耳阿，撒母耳回答說：請說：僕人敬聽。
孩童撒母耳對上帝的認識很有限，故當上帝向他說話的時候，他還以為是老先知以利在叫他。耶和華神三次呼喚撒母耳，到了第三次，老先知才知道是上帝的聲音，他便教導孩童撒母耳，謙卑在神面前，聆聽神的聲音。
我們每一個信徒都需要像孩童撒母耳那樣，學習聆聽神的聲音，恭敬的對神說：「您請說，僕人敬聽。」

Young Samuel was not familiar with the words of God. When Yahweh called him, he didn’t recognize the voice of God, thinking it was Eli the old prophet who called him. Eli didn’t recognize it was God until the third time. He then taught young Samuel to respond by listening.
This is how Christians grows. We all need to learn from young Samuel by humbling before God saying, “Speak, your servant is listening.”
