傳道書1:1-11，12:14

神的小僕人

經文:

1:1 在耶路撒冷作王、大衛的兒子、傳道者的言語。

1:2 傳道者說：虛空的虛空，虛空的虛空，凡事都是虛空。

1:3 人一切的勞碌，就是他在日光之下的勞碌，有甚麼益處呢？

1:4 一代過去，一代又來，地卻永遠長存。

1:5 日頭出來，日頭落下，急歸所出之地。

1:6 風往南颳，又向北轉，不住的旋轉，而且返回轉行原道。

1:7 江河都往海裡流，海卻不滿，江河從何處流，仍歸還何處。

1:8 萬事令人厭煩〔或作萬物滿有困乏〕人不能說盡，眼看，看不飽，耳聽，聽不足。

1:9 已有的事，後必再有，已行的事，後必再行，日光之下並無新事。

10 豈有一件事人能指著說：這是新的，那知，在我們以前的世代，早已有了。

11 已過的世代，無人記念，將來的世代，後來的人也不記念。

12:14 因為人所作的事，連一切隱藏的事，無論是善是惡，神都必審問。

傳道書一開始給人的感覺就是悲哀和無奈。世上的事重複循環的發生，人的心永遠得不着滿足和飽足，我們一生追求的很快就過去了，沒人記念，故此傳道者感到一切都是虛空，一切都是捕風，一切都無法抓住。

傳道書寫出了日光之下人生的真實，但生命的可貴之處就是我們怎樣活，怎樣留下痕跡，怎樣祝福其他人。別人有沒有記念是一回事，我們怎樣過生活又是一回事。生命還有日光之上的事，傳道書的結尾告訴我們人生的一切神都必審問。所以我們在生活中活出敬畏上帝、自己的角色與召命，就是有意義的人生，這才是最重要的，就算沒有人記念，又如何呢？

神的記念是否才是最重要的？

Ecclesiastes 1:1-11，12:14

The writer of Ecclesiastes started with a pessimistic view of life, depicting the meaninglessness of it. We labour, we work hard but they are all useless for no one will remember and they are all just repetitive of living. We are never satisfied and we cannot find any meaning of lives.

Maybe it is true that life is full of unknowns and repetitions. Yet the esssnce of it is how we live according to the will of God to bless others. Whether we are remembered or how meaningful it is depends on how we perceive life. At the end of the book the writer acknowledged God as the One who knows and remembers. Fear God and live according is the purpose instead of being remembered.

No one remembers but God does.
