喜樂之地

以弗所書二章1-5節

神的小僕人

經文:

1 你們死在過犯罪惡之中，他叫你們活過來。

2 那時，你們在其中行事為人隨從今世的風俗，順服空中掌權者的首領，就是現今在悖逆之子心中運行的邪靈。

3 我們從前也都在他們中間，放縱肉體的私慾，隨著肉體和心中所喜好的去行，本為可怒之子，和別人一樣。

4 然而神既有豐富的憐憫，因他愛我們的大愛，

5 當我們死在過犯中的時候，便叫我們與基督一同活過來，（你們得救是本乎恩）

保羅對叛逆的子民，清晰的責備並指出問題之所在。我們常活在滿足自我的罪中，我們跟隨世界的生活方式，看重自我，滿足肉體和慾望。

我們那一個不是活在自我當中呢？我們看自己比別人重要，我們看重自己的權利和看法，我們忽略真理。主耶穌卻活出了犧牲和付出的人生，祂提醒門徒要捨己背十架跟從祂。保羅也在這段經文中提醒我們，我們得救是本乎恩，這恩典是白白得來，也當白白捨去。

Ephesians 2:1-5

Paul rightly pointed out the essence of human flaws. We are all self centered, gratifying our craving of the flesh and thoughts. We see ourselves as more important and we live according to the standard of the world in defiance to God. We care about our rights and our views, contrary to Christ who sacrifice Himself and give up His rights.

Aren’t we all the same ? We care about our feelings, our rights and rarely think for others. Jesus says to us who follow Him: deny yourself, take up the cross and follow me. Grace is freely given and by the grace of God we are to give freely.
