以弗所書五章8-20節
神的小僕人
經文:
8 從前你們是暗昧的，但如今在主裡面是光明的，行事為人就當像光明的子女。
9 光明所結的果子，就是一切良善，公義，誠實。
10 總要察驗何為主所喜悅的事。
11 那暗昧無益的事，不要與人同行，倒要責備行這事的人。
12 因為他們暗中所行的，就是提起來也是可恥的。
13 凡事受了責備，就被光顯明出來，因為一切能顯明的，就是光。
14 所以主說：你這睡著的人，當醒過來，從死裡復活，基督就要光照你了。
15 你們要謹慎行事，不要像愚昧人，當像智慧人。
16 要愛惜光陰，因為現今的世代邪惡。
17 不要作糊塗人，要明白主的旨意如何。
18 不要醉酒，酒能使人放蕩，乃要被聖靈充滿。
19 當用詩章，頌詞，靈歌，彼此對說：口唱心和的讚美主。
20 凡事要奉我們主耶穌基督的名，常常感謝父神。
這一段經文有許多寶貝的教訓，保羅教導我們怎樣作一個光明的基督徒。首先我們必須知道自己的黑暗，及現今的世代邪惡，故因而警醒，拒絕邪惡的事。另一方面我們需要被聖靈充滿，保羅提醒我們不要醉酒，不要作糊塗人，沒有神的靈我們就糊塗了。這一段的教導叫我們知道自己的軟弱，神的靈與我們同在是我們活在光明中的唯一依靠。
神的靈同在，再加上在基督徒團體中彼此的鼓勵，叫我們能口唱心和的讚美主，這樣基督的身體就被建立了。
Ephesians 5:8-20
This is a precious passage from apostle Paul to all disciples of the world at all ages. To live in the light, Paul reminded a few crucial things. First of all we need to know the darkness of ourselves and the world for it is evil. Besides we need to be vigilant so that we won’t become foolish and forget about the will of God. To do it, we need the Spirit of God, and the Christian community, learning to be thankful and praising God, thus encouraging one another.
In short we need to recognize our weakness and our desperate need for Christ our Lord. Through the fellowship we have with one another, we encourage each other and build up the body of Christ that shines in darkness.
