馬太福音五章43-48節
神的小僕人
經文:
43 你們聽見有話說：『當愛你的鄰舍，恨你的仇敵。』
44 只是我告訴你們，要愛你們的仇敵，為那逼迫你們的禱告。
45 這樣，就可以作你們天父的兒子，因為他叫日頭照好人，也照歹人，降雨給義人，也給不義的人。
46 你們若單愛那愛你們的人，有甚麼賞賜呢？就是稅吏不也是這樣行嗎？
47 你們若單請你弟兄的安，比人有甚麼長處呢？就是外邦人不也是這樣行嗎？
48 所以你們要完全，像你們的天父完全一樣。
這個世界叫我們以眼還眼、以牙還牙、以惡報惡，因為這樣才算是公道。又現代的社會高舉自我，我的看法、我的意見和我的權利是最重要的，叫我們把真理看不清楚。神的真理就是愛，主耶穌在登山寶訓中教導我們不單要愛那愛我們的人，自己所愛的人，還要愛自己所不愛的，甚至是敵人。
我們會回應說，這是易說難做啊，但主耶穌藉着今天的經文提醒我們，我們的主叫日頭照好人和壞人，降雨給義人和不義的人，是在告訴我們上帝無私的愛，就是我們在頂撞祂、與祂為敵的時候，祂仍然愛我們。神這樣愛我們，願我們也能以愛還愛，愛神愛人。
Matthew 5:43-48
Jesus taught us the essence of love in His sermon in the mount. His teaching is contrary to the worldly view of fair share and self interest. The world talks about my rights, my view and my needs. Love, according to the Truth, is not just loving whom we love but our enemies.
We may respond saying it is easy said than done. Yet Jesus wants us to recognise God’s example of love for The sun and the rain are graciously given to all righteous and unrighteous people. Even we deny and resist God, He still loves us and save us from sins. May we learn to love others as we are loved by God.
