約伯記三十八章4-11節
神的小僕人
經文:
4 我立大地根基的時候，你在那裡呢？你若有聰明只管說吧。
5 你若曉得就說：是誰定地的尺度，是誰把準繩拉在其上。
6 地的根基安置在何處，地的角石是誰安放的。
7 那時晨星一同歌唱，神的眾子也都歡呼。
8 海水衝出，如出胎胞，那時誰將他關閉呢？
9 是我用雲彩當海的衣服，用幽暗當包裹他的布，
10 為他定界限，又安門和閂，
11 說：你只可到這裡，不可越過，你狂傲的浪要到此止住。
約伯在痛苦失意之中質問上帝，上帝沒有給他正面的答覆，反而問約伯，當立天地的時候，約伯在哪裏。這個問題和答案對於活在不能理解的環境中，是一個很好的解答，因為生命實在有太多我們不能理解、不能認同、不能回答的問題。神告訴我們祂是創天造地的神，祂掌管一切，祂是神。
雖然如此，上帝不是不愛惜我們，約伯後來比之前更加順服信靠上帝，他最後的結局是獎賞，是叫人鼓舞的。
Job 38:4-11
Job suffered a lot and he asked God why. God did not give him a straightforward answer but asked him where he was when God created the world. What God wants Job to understand is that there are things we don’t understand and agree. Yet God is in control and He is God.
Does it mean God just wants to shout us up? No, for when Job surrenders and trusts God, his final destiny is rewards. God loves us and He has a plan for us.
