詩篇40篇1-5節
神的小僕人

經文:
1〔大衛的詩，交與伶長。〕我曾耐性等候耶和華，他垂聽我的呼求。
2 他從禍坑裡，從淤泥中，把我拉上來，使我的腳立在磐石上，使我腳步穩當。
3 他使我口唱新歌，就是讚美我們神的話，許多人必看見而懼怕，並要倚靠耶和華。
4 那倚靠耶和華，不理會狂傲和偏向虛假之輩的，這人便為有福。
5 耶和華我的神阿，你所行的奇事，並你向我們所懷的意念甚多，不能向你陳明，若要陳明，其事不可勝數。

耐性等候耶和華，是信徒必須學習的。上面的經文告訴我們，當我們倚靠耶和華，並等候祂，不倚靠那些驕傲和虛無的，這樣耶和華要行奇事。祂所行的奇事數不勝數，使人讚美祂並敬畏祂。

生命中無數的經歷，都帶着上帝恩手的痕跡，如移民、婚姻、工作和生活，甚至遇上的弟兄姊妹，都是上帝給予我們的恩典，只是這些東西常在我們身邊擦過，我們好像不在意，但回想的時候確實應該感恩。

禱告:
神啊！我們要等候祢、相信祢，祢為我們預備的，常超過我們所求所想的，感謝讚美主！奉耶穌的名禱告，阿們。

Psalm 40:1-5

Wait on the Lord, and trust Him, this is what all believers have to learn. When we do so and not turning to the proud and the false gods, we are blessed with wonders and the marvellous planning of our gracious God.

We may be amazed when we look back with what we have gone through. Our migration, family, career and church community, they are all traits of God’s mighty hands. Sometimes we just take things for granted and we overlook what God has done for us.

Wait on Him for He has planned things that we may never have thought of.
