馬太福音16章24-28節
神的小僕人

經文:
24 於是耶穌對門徒說：若有人要跟從我，就當捨己，背起他的十字架來跟從我。
25 因為凡要救自己生命的，〔生命或作靈魂下同〕必喪掉生命，凡為我喪掉生命的，必得著生命。
26 人若賺得全世界，賠上自己的生命，有甚麼益處呢？人還能拿甚麼換生命呢？
27 人子要在他父的榮耀裡，同著眾使者降臨，那時候，他要照各人的行為報應各人。
28 我實在告訴你們，站在這裡的，有人在沒嘗死味以前，必看見人子降臨在他的國裡。

人若要跟從耶穌，就必須捨己、背十字架、真心跟從主。主耶穌清楚的告訴我們，生命比一切都重要，我們若賺得了全世界，卻賠上自己，是沒有益處的。我們雖聽過這節經文很多次，卻仍然固執地追求這世上的一切。

我們可以享受榮華富貴，但若我們的生命沒有神，也沒有祝福人，我們的一生會不會只是白白的虛度？捨己和背十架是犧牲，但卻不必是苦哈哈的。真正美好的生活是明白生命的意義，並活出神給我們的使命。

禱告:
親愛的主耶穌，謝謝祢的救恩，十字架的愛和犧牲給我們生命的真正意義。人是自私、自我中心的，常只想「得」卻不願「給」，唯有十字架的大愛能改變我們，使我們不再只為自己活，而是為主活，活出生命的意義。聽我的禱告，奉耶穌基督的名，阿們。

Matthew 16:24-28

If we are to follow Christ, we need to deny ourselves and follow God. Jesus told us clearly that it is futile to gain the world and yet forfeit our souls. Though we have heard about it many times, we are still stubbornly hang onto what we want to pursue.

If we enjoy the affluence of the world, but we never consider the will of God and the benefits and blessings we can bring to others, we are just living without purposes. Denying ourselves and taking up the cross is about sacrifice, and it does not necessarily bring suffering. Blessing others gives us meaning and purpose of life.

The sacrifice and love of the cross give us real meaning of life.
